Phosphorus
[phosphate rock]Illness from radiation sickness
and burns, and chemical poisoning. Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, especially those
to strong odors and respiratory problems. There is improper oxidation and low blood
pressure. The mucous membranes are irritated and inflamed. Hemorrhage: with profuse
bleeding from any orifices of body (including nose, chest and bladder) and wounds; blood
does not coagulate; wounds bleed freely; anemia after hemorrhage; spitting of blood,
bright red, dark, streaked, uncoagulated. Chronic Diarrhea: which is exhausting but
painless and that is watery, pouring out, involuntary, copious, grey, bluish, and green
mucous and it can be bloody. Vomiting: with nausea, after eating, warm drinks,
putting hands in warm water, warm rooms, constant, worse from too much salt. Acts on blood
vessels and serum, spinal cord and bone. Lou Gehrig's Disease. Cancers, acute leukemia.
- Anxiety: panic and free-floating anxiety attacks are not uncommon; fear of things
like robbers, suffocation, disease, death, dark, at twilight and during thunder-storms;
terrified in a room full of people if they cannot think of what to talk about; more
anxious and fearful when alone.
- Alcoholism: with sexual excesses, need for instant gratification and company, and
craving particularly for wine; with hemorrhaging and nose bleeds.
- Cough: upper respiratory ailments; congestion of lungs; early stages of
bronchitis or pneumonia, with tightness in chest and dry hard painful cough; tickling dry
cough; croup; racking; hoarseness; loss of voice; spasmatic; violent; expectoration
copious, yellow; mucous, in morning; chronic catarrh with slight hemorrhage; nervous
cough, worse around strangers; worse talking, active, lying left-side, evening, getting
wet, cold air, change of temperature, laughing, morning, betterwalking in open air.
- Eyes: atrophy of optic nerve; bleeding; cataract; cancer; itching; tearing;
photophobia; tension; twitching lids.
- Fainting: from the sight of blood; on excitement; from pain.
- Hypoglycemia: with headache if hunger not appeased immediately, weakness from not
eating; ailments from hunger and must eat even in the middle of the night.
- Jaundice: with acute hepatitis; sore and enlarged liver.
- Vision: veil before eyes; near-sighted (myopia); colors- black, specks, spots,
objects seem gray, green halo of light, red halo; floating, spots; dazzling; dim better
morning, after sex, distant objects, during headache; dim reading, during vertigo; objects
seem distant; sees a sea of fire closing eyes; flashes; flickering; foggy; lightnings;
loss of vision from fainting; sparks in the dark and on falling asleep; spots; weak.
- Voice Loss: from prolonged taking. Laryngitis- with very painful larynx,
worse speaking, evenings and cold air; rawness, sore; sore trachea; sensitive to pressure,
touch, with constriction and irritation of larynx. Hoarseness- husky, rough, deep,
nasal; chronic; from talking; worse in the evening; during coryza.
- Ulcers: gastric and duodenal; vomiting of cold food and drink with blood, burning
pains in pit of stomach and sour belching.
Modalities:
< Left-side; lying on left or painful side, lying on back, stomach; electrical changes;
cold (except headaches); putting hands in cold water, washing clothes, wet feet; twilight,
during sunset, evening, dark; during thunder, stormy, sudden change of weather, drenching
rains, winter; alone; ascending stairs; hair cut; music; odors, smell of food and flowers;
touch; salt, milk, butter, spoiled fish, garlic; alcohol, iodine, anesthetic drugging.
> Warmth, open air; cold bathing; sleeping, even short nap; eating; cold food and
drinks; in the dark; rubbing, massage; sympathy; and lying on the right side; magnetism;
eating; frozen food, wine.
NOTE: Do NOT drink wine while taking
Phosphorus.
Disposition: They are diffusion in essence, spreading outward
emotionally without boundaries, drifting with the current. Living only for the present,
most of their passions tend to be short lived and regretted afterward. They can be
mentally spaced-out, a scattered consciousness often seen in these soft dreamy types.
There is a hunger for recognition and a performers temperament with a great imagination.
With sparkling eyes and general effervescence, they are very friendly, open and generous.
They are delicate, highly impressionable, trusting and emotionally vulnerable, making it
difficult for them to protect themselves. Oversensitive to everything in their
environment.
Complexion appears waxy and fine. Tall. Chilly, cold feet and legs. Thirsty for cold
drinks. Often hungry with a desire for salt and ice cream. Left-side. Low blood pressure.
Pyrogenium
[artificial sepsin-from rotten meat]
Illnesses from sepsis- pathogenic microorganisms and/or their toxins, septic
conditions and infections, bacterial poisoning, remote effects of hepatitis, diptheria,
chronic malaria, sewer gas poisoning. Surgical infections, dissecting wounds.
Blood-poisoning or absorption of pus. Typhoid fever. Ptomaine poisoning.
- Fever: high fever temperature around 106; violent chill followed by heat and
sweating; dry heat, marked aching of limbs, restlessness; with accelerated pulse out of
all proportion to the height of the temperature or the severity of the other symptoms,
slow pulse with high fever and fast pulse with low fever; the heart seems to feel the
brunt of the attack and its action is greatly increased; heart becomes weak and muscles
prostrated; feels hot as if he had a fever of 105 deg F, but was only 99 deg F; great heat
with profuse how sweat, but sweating does not cause a fall in temperature; chill begins in
back between scapulae, felt in bones with sweat, at night; frequent urination. Chronic
complaints that date back to septic conditions (micro-organisms or their toxins). It
occupies an important place in every case of blood-poisoning be it from diphtheria,
typhoid, typhus or any other malignant disease to which human flesh is subject. Horrible
offensiveness of all the discharges of the body: the breath, sweat, vomit, menstrual,
lochia, stools, diarrhea, and other excretions, have dead putrefying smell.
- Blood poisoning: with septic fever, the first remedy to be thought of in a case
of septicemia from either childbirth or surgical or any other cause; intense restlessness;
blood poisoning (when other indicated remedy doesn't work). Toxemia or septicaemia
(pathogenic bacteria in bloodstream), whether after tooth extraction, in peritonitis, skin
or urinary infection. Septic wounds, cuts, bites.
- Heart: cardiac weakness from septic conditions; palpitations worse by motion;
throbbing feeling in head and ears, preventing sleep; audible loud heartbeat.
- Malaria: chronic; with high fevers and intense restlessness.
- Miscarriage: septic miscarriages; after-effects of miscarriage.
Modalities:
< Cold, damp; sitting; moving eyes.
> Motion, changing position, hard rocking, walking; pressure, stretching; heat, hot,
bath, drinks.
Disposition: Restlessness. Anxiety and irrational notions. Loquacious;
Can talk and think faster than ever before; esp. during the fever; talks or whispers in
sleep. Cannot tell whether dreaming while awake or asleep. Active brain, making speeches
and writing articles at night. Irritable, delirium and confusion of mind about his body
and limbs. After the fever the hallucination persists that he is very wealthy and has a
large sum of money in the bank: "Delusion, that he is very wealthy."
Very sensitive to cold. Face is pale, cold and ashen, then flushed. Cheeks red and
burning hot. Dry skin.
Radium bromatum
[Radium Bromide]
Illnesses from radium, radiation, ill effects of burns, and x-rays, with great
muscular weakness. Severe aching pains all over, with restlessness, better moving about.
Chronic rheumatic arthritis. Ailments and burns due to radium burns that take a
long time to heal, with burning of skin, as if on fire; ulcers. Ulcers due to marked
increase in the poly-morphonuclear neutrophils. Dermatitis caused by x-rays with
itching, burning, swelling and redness. Itching all over the body. Rheumatism and gout.
Wandering pains that come on suddenly. Tumors and skin cancers. Necrosis of bones. Lowered
blood pressure. Late in appearance of symptoms.
Modalities:
< Getting up; warmth of bed; 3 a.m., 4 a.m., 7 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, night; washing,
shaving; smoking; stretching.
> Lying down, after sleep; pressure; open air, cold air; continued motion; hot bath;
wet-warm wet application; cold drinks, eating.
Disposition: There is a great desire to be with
people. Fear of being alone in the dark, and to have somebody near. Tired and irritable.
Cranky and easily vexed. Apprehensive and depressed.
